Tuition fees and financing

There are many ways for students to finance their studies at ISMAC, depending on their situation.

FAQ on tuition fees and financing

Scholarships

ISMAC scholarships
As part of its commitment to helping students, the School donates a large part of the Taxe d’Apprentissage paid by companies to students.
Intended for students with limited family resources, they must be requested between January 15 and May 31 from the CROUS of the current school. More info on www.cnous.fr.

The Merit Aid supplements the scholarship based on social criteria. It is awarded to students who obtain a very good grade in the BAC or a very good Bachelor’s degree. Its amount is €900 per year.

Information: www.etudiant.gouv.fr.

The specific aid provides rapid, personalized financial assistance, one-off or for the duration of the academic year, to students in difficulty. Emergency aid can take two forms: either one-off aid for students who are temporarily experiencing serious difficulties, or annual aid granted to students who are experiencing long-term difficulties. To apply for aid, you must obtain an aid application form from your CROUS.

Loans

Information on bank loans

A student loan is a consumer credit designed to finance your studies. It offers the possibility of deferred repayment, enabling you to start repaying once you’ve graduated and entered professional life.

ISMAC has set up partnerships with a number of banks offering advantageous conditions specially adapted to ISMAC students. Please see below for contact details. However, it is important to note that all banks can offer preferential loans to students.

ISMAC partner banks

Documents to provide to banks for loan applications

  1. Proof of enrolment at ISMAC or school certificate or student card.
  2. Valid identity document (passport, CNI) for the applicant.
  3. Valid ID of parents as guarantor.
  4. Proof of address less than 3 months old (EDF, GDF, tel, box, tax notice).
  5. Last rent receipt (if renting) or proof of accommodation + copy of valid ID of host.
  6. Tax returns for guarantor parents.

Social security

Students are covered by the general Social Security system and pay a single “student life” contribution, which includes the FSDIE (Fonds de Solidarité et de Développement des Initiatives Étudiantes) contribution, sports and cultural activities fees and the preventive medicine fee.

Student mutual insurance

Social security only reimburses a portion of your healthcare expenses. If you are not covered by your parents’ health insurance and would like to be better reimbursed, you need to take out “Complémentaire Santé” with a mutual insurance company.
SMEREP (SMEBA) and LMDE offer attractive rates for students.
You’ll find all the information you need on their website : www.smerep.fr / www.smeba.fr / www.lmde.fr

Student health center

On our 3 campuses, student health centers enable students to benefit from local medical care.

Jobs and internships

ISMAC students can earn a living through side jobs. Numerous offers are made by ISMAC partners and other school associations during the year.

In addition, internships can be paid or indemnified. The first-year internship can be converted into a fixed-term contract for students who can earn a salary (generally the minimum wage, i.e. €1,343 per month).
